As the daughter of a retired U.S. Army officer and nurse/nursing instructor, I have learned the importance of discipline, order, compassion, and education.
As the older sister of a fingerprint specialist/crime scene investigator, I have learned the importance of responsibility, measuring the impact of my actions on others, and paying the strictest attention to the tiniest details.
As one of a close-knit group of six friends scattered from the East Coast to points around the globe, I have learned the importance of adaptability, patience, and loyalty.
As the wife of a computer scientist, I have learned the importance of honesty, trust, and reason.
I've worked as a dental assistant, a tour guide, a meeting planner, a webmaster, various administrative assistant roles, a consulting firm project manager, and a marketing communications professional.
I've lived in Virginia (three times), Maryland, Kansas, Texas, Washington, D.C., California, and I'm currently living in Germany (for the second time). In addition to spots all over the U.S. (and Puerto Rico), I've visited Austria, Barbados, Canada, Cote d' Ivoire, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Portugal, St. Croix, St. Lucia, Spain (Mallorca and Tenerife), Switzerland, and The Netherlands.
I'm a huge fan of gardening, real-life medical/surgical shows, home improvement projects, science fiction and horror, cheesy tearjerkers, and the sport of ultimate frisbee.
All of these experiences, and the knowledge they've imparted, help me to bring a well-rounded perspective to everything I do.
These are the gifts that I bring to you through my writing.
